EDF ProgrammeThis highly interactive programme has been designed to help attendees achieve improvements in productivity and performance through effective leadership, motivation and performance management of their people to help them lay the foundation for long term sustainable growth and job creation.

Day 1 (6 hours ‐ Class Room Based Training)

Building High Performing Teams to Grow Your Business

  • The Characteristics of High Performing
  • Understanding how Teams Grow through time
  • Understanding the Mix of Personalities, Temperaments and Behaviours within Teams and how such a mix will influence their ability to become a "High Performing Team"
  • Measurement as to how close attendees' teams are to being a "High Performing Team" and development actions to make improvements

Growing your Business through Bold Leadership

  • The Role of the Leader in Business Growth
  • The importance of Trust in Leading people towards Business Growth
  • The importance of creating an environment of collaboration, creativity, risk-taking and innovation in Leading people towards Business Growth
  • The importance of the leader in recognising their own leadership behaviours and the impact of their style on others.
  • The importance of adapting Leadership styles in line with the behaviours and personalities of their people
  • Developing actions to make improvements to attendees’ leadership skills

Day 2 (6 hours ‐ Class Room Based Training)

Maximising your Leadership Communication

  • Identifying the fundamental elements & skills to maximising attendees’ impact of communication to others (the team/customers/suppliers etc)?
  • Identifying some of the barriers that hinders communication with others
  • Identifying the importance to any leader and developing “presentation” & “oratory” skills
  • Identifying how communication could improve within attendees’ organisations and developing actions to make improvements

Shaping Your People for Business Growth and Success

  • Managing the performance of their people towards business growth through a “coaching” approach
  • Developing the skills and approaches to have the “difficult” “challenging” “developmental”, "motivational” conversations with their people
  • Developing the skill of “Feedback” and ensuring that there is a visible, positive flow of feedback within the team
  • Identifying how communication could improve within attendees’ organisations and developing actions to make improvements

Coaching (6 hours - 2 x sessions)

“Business Coaching 1‐1 Support”

The Coachee would be given the opportunity to focus on the following areas pivotal to the growth of their business, either 1:1 or 1: Group (internal):

  • Recruiting the right people for Business Success
  • Enhancing the Performance of your People
  • Building a Dynamic Team to Grow your Business
  • Creating a Culture that embraces Business Growth 

Who should attend?

Business owners or executive level leaders who are committed to driving the growth of their business through development of their leadership and management skills.  Businesses must meet ERDF eligibility criteria: 

  • Business that are looking to increase their turnover and / or the number of staff they employ 
  • Business is based with Greater Manchester
  • Employ less than 250 staff (FTE)
  • Turnover less than 50 million Euros or balance sheet less than 40 million Euros
  • Not have exceeded 200,000 Euro in State Aid in a rolling 3-year period
